Knights Coach wins Award

Coach Richard Scott is used to winning things, his amazing record with the Farnham Knights U19 and U17 teams over the last three years have resulted in a national semi-final and a national final appearance. But earlier this month Coach Scott was short listed in the final four of the BAFCA U19 Kitted American Football Coach of the year awards along with coaches from the Highland Wildcats, the Manchester Titans and the East Kent Mavericks.

But it was Coach Scott that the BAFCA committee selected as Coach of the Year, when asked about the accolade Coach Scott said “I was amazed that I even made the short list, but to be voted Coach of the Year by my peers, I’m just honoured”

And it really is no surprise that Coach Scott won the national award when you look at his record as a head coach and the players he has helped develop, three of whom are already destined for colleges in the US and seven members of this year’s U19 Farnham Knights team making the U19 Great Britain squad.
